The results of the Delhi High Court Bar Association were announced on Wednesday.
Senior Advocate Mohit Mathur has won a successive term as the President of the Delhi High Court Bar Association after defeating the likes of Senior Advocates N Hariharan, Ramesh Gupta and Advocate Rajiv Khosla in the 2022 edition.
Work during Covid
Senior Advocate Mohit Mathur's work during Covid for the members of the legal fraternity constituted a big chunk of his previous tenure as the president. In a previous interaction with BW Legal World on the Sudhir Mishra Show, Mathur shared the experience of working with the legal fraternity during the Covid crisis.
A third-generation lawyer actively involved in Bar leadership roles
A third-generation lawyer, Mathur kept himself away from politics and institutional leadership roles after his stint as the President of the student union back in his college days. His first tryst with elections post joining the Bar came around a decade back when he chose to stand for the post of secretary in the 2011 Delhi High Court Bar Association election on the insistence of friends.
Over the years, he has made a distinct name for himself in Bar leadership roles.
