Seasoned lawyer Mr Jamshed Mistry appointed District Chairman for Legal Affairs for Lions Club International

Advocate Jamshed Mistry has been appointed as District Chairman for legal affairs for Lions District Club International, District 3231, A1 for the year 2021-2022. The appointment has been made in recognition of his dedication and zeal towards the objectives and service activities of Lions Club International.

Mr Mistry is not only a highly regarded lawyer but also remains actively engaged in the betterment of the legal profession and the society at large. In a letter confirming his appointment, Mr Prasad Panvalkar, District Governor, Lions District Club International, acknowledged Mr Mistry’s work for the betterment of society.

On the legal side, Mr Mistry is actively involved with pro bono litigation other than routine and high stakes legal matters. That's not all, Mr Mistry has been a strong advocate of bringing legal transcription into the Indian legal system. His efforts have played a key role in the inclusion of legal transcription in the draft vision document of the Supreme Court’s e- Court’s Project. He has also conceptualized the idea of legal tourism as a means to connect lawyers internationally.
