A Mumbai Sessions Court on Thursday rejected model Gehana Vasisth's anticipatory bail plea in connection with the Raj Kundra porn film case. Vasishth was a regular feature in soft porn films produced on HotShots App.
Soon after Kundra's arrest, Gehana and other models started giving statements in press pointing to the prevalent exploitation and foul play in the Indian soft porn industry.
However, the Mumbai police has booked multiple people in connection with the case in an attempt to crack down the nexus behind India's thriving dirty business of selling soft porn in the garb of making erotica. The problems don't end with soft porn entertainment. The B Grade biz has become a playground for money laundering, illegal transactions, exploitation and cheating. Police also suspects a human trafficking angle as it is trying to connect pieces of a bigger puzzle.
The turn of events in the last couple of weeks has made models like Gehana and Sherlyn Chopra rush to Court seeking anticipatory bail, but to no avail.
Considering the gravity of the offences involved, the courts have not been in favour of granting any interim protection to the likes of Gehana Vasisth and Sherlyn Chopra.
