[Breaking] Lawyer Arrested For Abusing Security Guard Gets Bail
Lawyer Bhaavya Roy has got relief in the infamous case where she was caught abusing and manhandling a security guard in a posh society in NOIDA.
Roy, who was sent to judicial custody earlier this week, has been granted bail in the matter.
As soon as Roy was arrested, questions were cast by many lawyers on whether the police has erred in following the apt procedure for arresting the accused in the case. The legalities involved in videotaping someone on the residential premises have also become a subject of heated discussions since then.
However, there is no denying that the behaviour of the accused Bhavvya Roy was unanimously criticised as inappropriate. Although it is not clear what led to the abuse and assault on the security guard, news reports say that Bhaavya was under the influence of alcohol and she was miffed at the delay in the opening of the gates to the society by the security guards.
The video of the incident soon gained traction and became a fodder for debate and critique on social media.
