Bollywood Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh Appears Before Tis Hazari Court In Domestic Violence Case

Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh  along with his parents appeared before the Tis Hazari Court in connection with the domestic violence case filed by his wife. The judge counselled both the parties in her chambers and allowed Shalini to visit her marital home to gather her belongings on Sunday the 5th of September, 2021.

Previously, the Judge had passed interim orders restraining Honey Singh from contacting Shalini. The Bollywood singer has also been directed not to dispose of the marital home or the streedhan.

The singer's wife has registered a case of domestic violence against him and his family accusing them of causing mental, physical, sexual and economic cruelty.

Calling the allegations severely odious, Rapper Honey Singh had earlier released a media statement stating that he was deeply pained and distressed by this incident. He had urged his fans and public at large to not draw any conclusions about him and his family until the Hon’ble Court pronounces a verdict after hearing both sides.

Honey Singh is represented by Rebecca John, Sr. Advocate, briefed by Ishaan Mukherjea.

Ms. Shalini Talwar is represented by Sandeep Kapur, Senior Partner, Karanjawala & Co., as well as a team from Karanjawala & Co., comprising of Rajat Soni, Niharika Karanjawala, Apoorva Pandey, Gudipati Kashyap and Kallakuri Sharat Kumar.

The matter is slated for hearing on September 28.
