Amandeep Singh Batra and music video producer approached Delhi High Court seeking police protection from Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar who are allegedly threatening him at the behest of Prateek Chaudhary - a businessman from Delhi, who has a personal vendetta with Batra.
Chaudhary runs a number of night clubs in NCR such as Diablo and has flaunted his connections with Bishnoi in his social media posts which were filed before the court.
Justice Jasmeet Singh observed that Batra has every reason to be scared. Since September, Batra has received a number of calls from Lawrence and Brar and despite lodging an FIR, there is no respite for him.
The High Court has directed Delhi police to take appropriate action within 10 days and in the meantime directed then to ensure safety of Batra and to do everything within their means to protect his life and fundamental rights
