Amity University recently honoured veteran General Counsel Hemant Kumar with an Honorary Professorship.
By his own admission, the L&T Group General Counsel is a great believer in sharing knowledge with young generations.
"I feel strongly about giving back to my profession in whatever way possible for me. Hence, I share my knowledge of the law and its applicability in resolving day-to-day legal problems with young legal professionals who may not have access to adequate resources but have great potential to excel in their life", he said in a previous interaction with BW Legal World.
His dream is to groom at least 50 young budding lawyers and final-year law students every year with master classes on various law topics, enhancing their etiquette, and dressing style. He regularly guides students on various avenues available to law students and budding advocates.
The honorary professorship will further bolster his efforts to mentor the future generation of lawyers.
Kumar has a proud legacy when it comes to his life and career as a lawyer. Hailing from a family of lawyers, for him, his father is his biggest mentor. He started his legal journey as an Advocate but he has seen every facet of the legal industry. As one of the most celebrated in-house counsels in India, he has received many accolades and awards for his contribution to the legal and corporate world.
