Vardaan Ahluwalia recently took on the role of General Counsel at Premji Invest. He was previously holding the position of Head - Legal.
Prior to joining Premji Invest, Ahluwalia was a Legal Advisor at Ashurst Fintech Legal Labs. He was also a Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas from the year 2019 till 2021.
He specialises in private capital, investments, banking, fintech, stressed acquisitions, and regulatory finance law. Ahluwalia is passionate about corporate valuation, and impact investing, with sector expertise in fintech, and financial institutions.
He is responsible for analysing all transactions undertaken by Premji Invest and management of the legal team.
His role primarily consists of (a) structuring, negotiating and managing transactions across practice areas, including equity and debt investments in public and private markets; (b) providing legal advice to the investment and finance team at the fund; (c) assisting with corporate governance and risk management; and (d) supervision and management of the legal team and external counsel mandates.
