Neerav Merchant Joins AQUILAW As Partner & Head To Lead Its Mumbai Office

Neerav Merchant has joined AQUILAW as a Partner & Head to lead its Mumbai office. His expertise and leadership are invaluable assets as we continue to expand our presence and strengthen our capabilities in the region. 

Neerav has more than 27 years of experience in handling and strategizing dispute resolution and arbitration matters (including advising on enforcement of foreign judgments and awards), has advised on internal investigations and anti-corruption matters, as also handled government affairs, IT/Outsourcing & Licensing, and real property matters. He regularly advises foreign (and domestic) clients as regards their India disputes strategies, providing clients a practical, pragmatic, and solutions driven advice, and often acting as co-counsel, or as an expert on Indian law issues at international (disputes or arbitral) forums.

Prior to AQUILAW, Neerav was a Partner with Majmudar & Partners. His total work experience spans across various sectors, namely, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and industrials, automobile, oil & gas, telecom, insurance, banking, FMCG, information technology (IT), and real property. Neerav is an officer at the Litigation Committee of the IBA. He has completed his B.Com, with Jai Hind College, University of Mumbai, and did his LLB, from K.C. Law College, University of Mumbai. He also qualified as a Solicitor, with the Bombay Incorporated Law Society.
