Lexygen recently advised EazyDiner on raising funds from DMI AIF (Alternative Investment Fund)- The Sparkle Fund. The startup raised INR 40 crores ($4.86mn) from DMI Sparkle Fund.
EazyDiner is India's first online instant restaurant reservation platform. As part of its disruptive strategy, EazyDiner goes beyond the usual with its Prime Membership Programme and bank/credit card partnerships to deliver what the customer is always looking for “enamoring discounts”.
The funds raised would contribute towards the expansion plans of EazyDiner to provide services in more cities across the country. This would also aid the startup to explore the hospitality market overseas.
Mr. Vijay Sambamurthi, Founder and Managing Partner of Lexygen, shared his views on the transaction, “EazyDiner is a dynamic startup that is dominantly disrupting the restaurant reservations space in India. As a leading law firm advising several market-leading clients, Lexygen is committed to providing best-in-class and commercially relevant legal advice to stellar entrepreneurs like Kapil Chopra who are building truly world-class companies in and from India. We are optimistic about EazyDiner’s continued growth and dominance in this space and look forward to advising them on their future initiatives as well”, he said.
