Khaitan & Co advised Gentari Renewables India Pte. Ltd in relation to its acquisition of Fortum Finnsurya Energy Private Limited (Target) from India Sun B.V. The Target is engaged in the business of owning and operating 5 (five) solar power projects with an aggregate capacity of 185MW, in the states of Karnataka, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
The core team consisted of Akhil Bhatnagar (Partner), Bhagirath Ashiya (Principal Associate), Niyati Bhatt (Principal Associate), Palak Mohta (Associate) and Rahul Pai (Associate).
Khaitan & Co was involved in the (a) due diligence of the Target for the transaction; and (b) structuring, drafting, negotiating and finalizing the transaction documents.
