Khaitan & Co acted as legal counsel to Indo-National Limited and Helios Strategic Systems Ltd. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Indo National Limited), in relation to divestment of entire majority equity interest held by Helios Strategic Systems Limited in Kineco Limited, by way of sale to Gajanana Assets and Projects SPV LLP, for an aggregate consideration of INR 220 crores.
Indo-National Ltd. (formerly, Nippo Batteries Company Ltd.) is a leading manufacturer of Dry-cell Batteries in India. Headquartered in Chennai, it is the second-largest player in the industry, with a production capacity of 800 million batteries per annum.
