JSA Advocates and Solicitors (JSA), today completed the onboarding of Equity Partners Iqbal Khan and Ambarish, along with their team of 18 lawyers including 3 Retained Partners, from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. A member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa; and the New York Bar; Iqbal holds J.D. from Columbia Law School (Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar); Parker School Certificate for Achievement in International and Comparative Law; and LL.B, from the London School of Economics and Political Science. In addition, Iqbal has been the Editor of the Columbia Journal of European Law. He has been continuously ranked as one of the top M&A and private equity lawyers in India by various legal rankings, such as ALB, Chambers, Forbes and RSG, among others.

Ambarish, Equity Partner, JSA Advocates & Solicitors, brings with him 16 years of extensive experience at both SAM and the erstwhile Amarchand. His specialization in private and public M&A transactions and matters involving SEBI, listed companies and corporate governance, along with his significant practice in Japan, makes him a strategic addition to JSA. Ambarish is highly regarded for his adept handling of some of the largest M&A and private equity transactions in India, representing both foreign and Indian majors. Ambarish has also been involved in assisting the Government in drafting of several key regulations. A member of the Bar Council of Delhi, Ambarish holds a B.B.A. LL.B, (Honours) from National Law University, Jodhpur. Ambarish has been included in the list of top M&A lawyers in India.
