Hyundai Motor India Appoints Amitabh Lal Das As Chief Legal Officer

South Korean carmaker, Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) has appointed Amitabh Lal Das as the new Chief Legal Officer. In his new role,   Das will oversee legal, compliance and secretarial functions at HMIL.

Das is a seasoned General Counsel, a C-Suite corporate leader, possessing thirty years of rich domestic and international experience across the entire spectrum of legal practice, viz. litigation in courts, senior lawyer in law firms, and General Counsel in US and Indian companies in varied sectors.

Throughout his career, he has demonstrated expertise in managing core legal, and allied functional areas such as compliance, ethics, government relations, public policy, regulatory dealings, board management and corporate governance, including oversight of company secretarial, risk management, internal controls and assurance. 

In his previous role, Das served as General Counsel for Bajaj Auto Ltd.
