Dr. Dhruv Janssen-Sanghavi, a distinguished figure in international taxation, has established his firm, Janssen-Sanghavi & Associates International Tax Counsel. The firm will have offices in Amsterdam and in Mumbai. This strategic move comes after serving as the Co-Head of the International Tax and International Tax Litigation practices at Nishith Desai Associates for more than three years.
With an illustrious career spanning over 17 years, Dr. Janssen-Sanghavi has earned a stellar reputation for his expertise in international tax law and policy. Besides delivering exceptional results for clients, he has made noteworthy contributions to international tax scholarship and public policy. He is a recipient of the 2017 IFA President YIN Scientific Award and the 2013 IBA Tax Section scholarship. He is also recognised by Legal500 as a recommended lawyer.

This marks a significant milestone in the practice of international tax law in India. Having started his career with Nishith Desai Associates in 2007, Janssen-Sanghavi also worked with Vaish Associates before moving to academia in the Netherlands. After over 100 publications, and teaching over 1000 students in different parts of the world, he returned to full-time practice with Nishith Desai Associates in January 2021.
