Tripura High Court Gets New Chief Justice

After the post of the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court lying vacant for a substantial period, the Department of Justice, Government of India, notified the appointment of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, Judge of the Jharkhand High Court as the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court. In the interim period from November, 2022 to present, Justice Amarnath Goud was the Acting Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court.

Justice Apesh Kumar Singh, aged 58, was enrolled as an advocate and practiced before the Patna High Court and later before the Jharkhand High Court, where he was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Jharkhand High Court in 2012, where he was the Acting Chief Justice between December, 2022 and February, 2023.
