Rajasthan HC Directs State to Install Smart TVs in Shelter Homes to Educate Residents

The Jodhpur bench of the Rajasthan High Court on Thursday asked the state to install smart television screens in ‘Nari Niketan’, Balika Grahs and children observation homes in order to play pre-recorded courses of education department in order to provide education to the children and women accommodated.

Dr Nupur Bhati having a strong interest in the matter made the suggestion through her petition which was then approved by the Jodhpur Bench of Rajasthan High Court comprising of Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice Devendra Kachhawaha.

“The suggestion is considered to be an effective tool for providing education to the women without requiring the physical presence of faculty members,” the court stated while commanding the installation of smart TVs in shelter homes.

The matter has been listed for hearing on March 25.
