Petition Alleging Unfair and Unprofessional Conduct of SC Registry Dismissed by SC

A Bench of Chief Justice of India S.A. Bobde and Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian rejected a plea filed by Syedullah Khaleelullah Khan, a Civil Judge from Maharashtra, seeking action against Registry officials of Supreme Court of India for their allegedly biased and unethical behaviour with regard to the listing of cases. 

Supreme Court dismisses petition on the ground that listing cannot be contrary to the Supreme Court Rules 

The petition filed by Syedullah Khaleelullah Khan had alleged that the apex court registry is not treating all litigants fairly with regard to the listing of cases. Further, the petitioner argued that inequitable treatment was being carried out against him or any other general petitioner by retarding  the listing and highlighting redundant defects. 

The petition filled was especially inclined towards an incident of a curative petition filed by him in the All India Judge Association v. Union of India judgement passed by the Supreme Court of India in the year 2002., Consequently, a curative petition was filed by Syedullah Khaleelullah but the Registry did not scrutinise the petition for 22 days though the defects highlighted by the Registry was cured by Khan.
