We are delighted to announce that Sudipta Bhattacharjee has joined Khaitan & Co as a Partner in the Indirect Tax Practice Group at our New Delhi office.
Sudipta was previously a partner at Advaita Legal, New Delhi since October 2016. After graduating from National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in 2005, he started his professional career with Reliance Communication before moving on to BMR Legal Advocates and then finally to Advaita Legal.
Recognised by BW Legal World amongst the top 40 of India’s finest lawyers under the age of 40, Sudipta is a lawyer with more than 15 years of post-qualification experience, specialising in Indirect Tax advisory (including GST, Customs, international trade laws, pre-GST indirect taxes as well as State Excise laws affecting alcoholic beverages industry), tax controversy management and contract documentation.
Sudipta focuses on advisory and litigation support apropos indirect tax and allied commercial issues vis a vis power, e-commerce, alcoholic beverages industry, mining and infrastructure sectors.
