Hijab Verdict: Y-Security To Karnataka HC Judges After Death Threats

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday declared Y- Category security to the three Judges of the Karnataka High Court who upheld the state ban on wearing Hijab in educational institutions. 

The step has been taken after a couple of videos surfaced online where communal leaders are seen giving death threats to the three judges.

The Tamil Nadu Police have have booked two leaders belonging to the Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ) behind provocative speeches during protests against Judges Ritu Raj Awasthi, Krishna Dikshit and Khazi M Jaibunnisa at Goripalayam and Thanjavur respectively. 

Besides reminding the Judges of Dhanbad's Uttam Anand Murder case, the culprits are seen hurling slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.

Well, ever since, the Hijab ban judgement came out, minority groups started expressing their displeasure. And as it often happens in issues attracting the fancy of fringe groups, displeasure turns into drama and leads to a ruckus.
