Government of India Issues Notification for Formation of NCDRC Under Consumer Protection Act of 2019

The government of India has notified the formation of National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission (NCDRC) under the Consumer Protection Act of 2019.

The notice has been issued in exercise of the powers under Section 53(1) of the Consumer Protection Act which states that the Central Government shall, by notification, establish a National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, to be known as the National Commission.

The President and members of National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission appointed immediately before the commencement of the Consumer Protection Act of 2019 shall continue to hold office under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act of 2019.
