[Farmer Protests] Deep Sidhu’s Police Custody Extended for 7 Days

Today Delhi Court extended the police custody remand of actor Deep Sidhu  for another seven days in a case pertaining to the Farmer’s tractor rally violence at Red Fort on 26th of January. 

When Sidhu's  seven-day police remand expired, he was produced before the Duty Magistrate earlier in the day 

According to Delhi Police, Sidhu was the main instigator behind the violence that was organised by protesting farmers. It was also claimed that Deep Sidhu instigated the mob to breach barricades with tractors and deviate from the approved route. 

He was arrested on February 9, 2021, in connection with an FIR registered for the commission of multiple offences under IPC, Arms Act and  Prevention of Destruction of Public Property Act.
