Delhi High Court restrains popular salon chain Geetanjali from playing songs of PPL without license

Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) recently filed a copyright infringement suit before the Delhi High Court against Geetanjali Salon to restrain it from using the songs of PPL at its outlets.

PPL is the owner of the copyright of the over 45 lakh songs and the details of the songs are available on its website https://www.pplindia.org/songs and has the exclusive right to grant the copyright license of the same.
