Civil Judge Reinstated On Humanitarian Grounds by Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court

The suspension order of Civil Judge Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone has been revoked by the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. A written complaint was filed last year against him by the Bar Association, Uri because of which he was suspended.  

  

Recently, taking into account Justice Lone’s serious health issues, the suspension has been revoked on humanitarian grounds. This order was issued by the Registrar General of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Furthermore, the official order stated, “the officer is reinstated with immediate effect and shall be paid full salary from the date of his reinstatement. On reinstatement, the officer is posted in Srinagar wing of the High Court against the leave reserve post of Civil Judge (Senior Division)”.  

Lately, in another development, the then Civil Judge (Senior Division), Almora, Abhishek Kumar Srivastava, had been reinstated by the Uttarakhand High Court. He was suspended for using private vehicles for travelling purposes belonging to an accused named, Chandra Mohan Sethi.
