[Breaking] Actress Payal Rohatgi Calls Alleged FIR Registered Against Her 'Malicious'
As per news reports, Payal Rohatgi has been booked in a fresh case for allegedly promoting communal disharmony.
FIR registered against Payal based on an old video
The said FIR has been registered against Payal over a video she made on the Nehru family. When contacted, her Counsel has clarified that the video circulated by media houses is an old one and was uploaded in the year 2019. The matter is at trial stage at a local court in Bundi, Rajasthan.
Payal's Facebook and Twitter Accounts have been inactive for past one year
Payal’s Counsel Advocate Manoj Saboo said that Payal’s social media accounts have been inactive for the past one year. In such a case, the question of posting a new video at this juncture does not arise. He further said that even if an FIR has been registered against Payal, she has not received any notice from police regarding the same.
Office bearers of Pune City Congress Committee allege fresh attempt of passing defamatory remarks against the Nehru-Gandhi family
The alleged complaint has been made by office bearers of the Pune City Congress Committee. The spokesperson for Congress in Pune, Mr Ramesh Iyer believes that the video circulated in a post has been made recently.
To this, Payal’s Counsel has said that it might be a case of someone reuploading the old video again and sharing it in a post.
