Allahabad High Court Asks UP Government to Consider Door-to-Door Vaccination

On Tuesday, the Allahabad High Court asked the State Government to consider setting up door-to-door vaccination for all citizens and not just those who are above the age of 45 years due to the second wave of COVID-19.

A bench of Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice Siddhartha Varma expressed concern over students who are to appear in the Uttar Pradesh High School and Intermediate Examinations and also directed the District Magistrate’s (DM) to make sure that the directions issued by the State Government are strictly being complied with as COVID-19 cases are rising again. The bench also remarked, “General public should also realise its responsibility towards the COVID-19 protocol”.

On 8th April 2021, the matter will be further considered through a video conference.
