In the wake of global consciousness about Climate Change, and ESG and Sustainability becoming a top priority agenda for businesses worldwide, the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) is constituting a Special Committee on Environment and Climate Change.
SILF through this Environment and Climate Change Committee will work in collaboration with American Bar Association, International Bar Association, and The Inter-Pacific Bar Association on global climate change legal practices.
The Committee will be chaired by Sudhir Mishra, Founder & Managing Partner of Trust Legal Advocates and Consultants. Mishra has been committed to the cause of ESG and Sustainability and has dedicated over two decades working in the field of environmental laws. He was also chosen for his work on environmental law for the prestigious International Visitors Leadership Program in 2005 by the US government. Mishra has acted for many state governments as special counsel and has been personally fighting for clean air in Delhi through a series of court cases.

“It is in the fitness of things that he should chair this Committee and take such steps as are necessary to create awareness about the perils facing the world due to Climate Change and to think about environmental safeguards,” says Lalit Bhasin, President of the SILF and Managing Partner of Bhasin & Co.
Sudhir Mishra quoted John Kerry, former Secretary of State, USA on his appointment as the Chair and said, "Every lawyer has to become an environmental lawyer."
