Senior Counsel Harish Salve, the former Solicitor General of India who also famously represented the country for Re 1 at the International Court of Justice in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, is having an unusual year.
In January, he was appointed as a Queen's Counsel in the UK, where he mostly lives and works from.
Six months later, in June, he and his wife of several decades, Meenakshi were granted a divorce by mutual consent by a UK Court. Salve confirms the divorce to your diarist.
While she continues to live at their home in New Delhi, Salve spends most of his time in London. He has also been spotted in the company of another lady, who he doesn’t wish to comment on.
We hear she is a 56-year-old Spanish artist, and that the two enjoy spending time together.
