Khaitan & Co Acts As Legal Counsel To Ambuja Housing And Urban Infrastructure Company

Khaitan & Co acted as legal counsel to Ambuja Housing and Urban Infrastructure Company Limited and advised it in relation to structuring negotiation and finalisation of definitive agreements entered with Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Limited for undertaking construction and development of serviced luxury apartments and providing project management consultancy for completing the structure and cladding of a 250 key 5-star luxury hotel on 3.50 acres of leasehold land on EM Bypass in Kolkata.

The Firm was involved in the following:  

(a) Assisted Ambuja Group in conducting and issuing an end-to-end land diligence report.  

(b) Assisted Ambuja Neotia Group with the drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalisation of the joint development agreement, development power of attorney, other ancillary joint development related documents and the Project Management Services Agreement.

(c) Assisted Ambuja Neotia Group for ensuring the proper assessment of the applicable stamp duty and registration fees, verification and approval of the instruments at the registrar’s office; and arranging the execution and the registration process.
