London law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys (HCR) has appointed Ajit Mishra as a partner in its International team, leading the firm’s work with India.
He has led the India desk for three major City-based law firms and was managing partner of another firm’s London office. A dual-qualified corporate lawyer (in the UK and India), Ajit has a strong track record in corporate and commercial law. He specialises in cross-border foreign direct investment laws.
HCR already has strong links in India and seeks to develop those further, supporting Indian companies operating in, or looking to invest in the UK, as well as helping international clients to launch effectively in India.
Nicolas Groffman, head of HCR’s international team, said: “Ajit has a unique understanding of both the UK and India and their potential for businesses operating in both countries; he is an excellent addition to the team and I very much look forward to working with him.”
Ajit’s reputation in India is well-established; he received the prestigious National Law Day Award in 2009, acknowledging him as a role model for young lawyers in India and abroad. He started his legal career on the corporate desk of New Delhi Law Offices, a boutique law firm based in the Indian capital.
Harrison Clark Rickerbys has more than 500 staff and partners based at offices in London, Thames Valley, Cambridge, Cheltenham, Birmingham, Worcester, the Wye Valley, Hereford and Cardiff, who provide a complete spectrum of legal services to both business and private clients, regionally and nationwide. The firm also has a number of highly successful teams specialising in individual market sectors, including health and social care, education, technology, agricultural and rural affairs, finance and financial services, defence, security and the forces, and construction.
