Bandhan Bank Ropes In Shakti Vats Agarwal As Vice President, Legal Affairs

Bandhan Bank, a private sector bank, appointed Shakti Vats as its new Vice President of Legal Affairs. With an impressive record in legal and finance leadership, his addition to the organisation reinforces Bandhan Bank’s position in the rapidly evolving banking and finance landscape.

As the Vice President, Shakti will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s financial growth by spearheading legal affairs, finance, and compliances, stationed at the bank's headquarters in Kolkata. He will oversee the company's financial stack, encompassing financial planning, expense management, tax compliance, financial legal compliance, and the establishment of a robust company portfolio to attract various opportunities. 

With over 18 years of experience in the banking domain, his appointment will fortify bank’s legal affairs. His proficiency extends across a diverse spectrum of legal domains, including Banking and Finance, Home Finance (both Retail and Corporate), intricate legal dispute resolution, and a comprehensive understanding of civil and commercial laws, insolvency matters, criminal law, and various other corporate disputes. His multifaceted skills and extensive experience make him a valuable addition to the Bandhan Bank team.

Prior to joining Bandhan Bank, Shakti served as the National Head of Legal Affairs at PNB Housing Finance Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in managing legal affairs for the organisation. He has also garnered valuable experience during his tenure at Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd, further enhancing his reputation as a seasoned legal professional in the banking sector. A distinguished 2005 law graduate, he holds an MBA from the prestigious University School of Management Studies in New Delhi. 

With a career spanning over a decade, his professional journey is marked by remarkable achievements in various facets of the legal landscape.
