The words written in the book are not merely empty words but an important lesson for the present generation. Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh also underlined the importance of the book and said that the release of the book in these times of Covid shall be the addition of a new chapter in the history of human civilization. Through this book, very basic but important questions and solutions were raised. “If humanity has to survive, we will have to work together, and to achieve this, this book will be an important contributing factor”

The author, Shri. Kailash Satyarthi shared, “The ongoing crisis is not only health, economic or social crisis but also a crisis of morality, justice and the entire civilization. We must act with urgency and compassion, or we risk losing an entire generation of children.  Around 1.5 billion children around the globe affected by school closure and almost half of them do not have the access to online education. They are the worst sufferers of economic, social and political violence. It is unfortunate that that only 0.13% of the $8 trillion global COVID response has been allocated to the most vulnerable.

The book discusses how the pandemic has impacted our way of life and has influenced the education system, business, politics, public safety, foreign policy, law, medicine, economy and development of countries. There are clear signs of rising poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, starvation, exploitation, trafficking and child labour.

Through his book, the author showcases that even during times of crises there is an infinite scope of collective courage, solution and creation. Shri Kailash Satyarthi called upon ‘globalization of compassion’ and a ‘supply chain of gratitude’ as the world deals with a crisis of this magnitude.

The author believes that there are inspiring examples around the world. During this period, ordinary people, industrialists, health care providers, government machinery, social workers and many others have done extraordinary humanitarian work.
