SC Collegium Recommends Five Judges For Elevation To Karnataka High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has in its latest resolution, approved the proposal for elevation of the following Judicial Officers as Judges in the Karnataka High Court:

1. Shri Anil Bheemsen Katti,

2. Shri Gurusiddaiah Basavaraja,

3. Shri Chandrashekhar Mrutyunjaya Joshi,

4. Shri Umesh Manjunathbhat Adiga, and 

5. Shri Talkad Girigowda Shivashankare Gowda.

The decision was taken in the meeting held on July 19, 2022. The Collegium comprises of the five senior-most judges of the Supreme Court. The present collegium comprises of Chief Justice NV Ramana and Justices UU Lalit, AM Khanwilkar, DY Chandrachud and Sanjay Kishan Kaul.
